HEADACHES AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Headaches are not uncommon! Many
Paramus headache sufferers get headache relief with
Paramus chiropractic care. One in 5 new
chiropractic patients come to a chiropractor’s office like
Paramus Medical & Sports Rehabilitation Center because of headache. Headache
patients make up a sizeable portion
of the chiropractic practice, and that is true for Paramus Medical & Sports Rehabilitation Center.
Chiropractors many times identify and co-manage
with other healthcare providers. (1) Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) for
cervicogenic headache is reported to be quite helpful.
For the most benefit, a new study reported that 18 SMT
visits compared with 1, 6, and 12 visits, is most
effective, reducing cervicogenic headache days by 50%.
Compared with slight massage, SMT also created three more cervicogenic headache-free days a month. (2)

TIP OF THE MONTH: Vitamin D for Reduced Migraines
It’s been offered
that the inflammation and a diminished immune system may play
a role in migraine headache. The role of nutrients – vitamin D, vitamin B12,
alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, riboflavin, and riboflavin - in
the supportive care of migraines is seemingly therapeutic.
(3) A new study writes that better
levels of serum Vitamin D (50 to less than 100 ng/mL) decreases
the odds of suffering a migraine headache by 80% to 83% as
opposed to levels below 20 ng/mL. (4) Paramus migraine
sufferers may want to consider enhancing their
Vitamin D status in addition to their Paramus
chiropractic care plan.
